Montero Sport 2003 Petrol

Hey,

I need to know some details about the Montero sport petrol

*Is it available in Manual Transition ?

*How many KM per Liter

*High Maintain cost ?

*And is there any other cases i should look for when buying one ?

Well I've driven and worked on my father-in-law's one and I haven't had to do any major repairs on it. It does hold up pretty well too. As for fuel consumption I could say it's pretty average but I haven't checked the actual figures.

One thing I do have to say is that the montero sport is not the most comfortable vehicle to drive (especially if you are taller). The steering wheel sits too low, the road noise is horrible, and the seats would leave a bad back after a few hours behind the wheel.

For the price these sell for you are better off buying a regular montero or maybe even a comparable SUV from another manufacturer.

OT- but just for knowledge sake- does anyone know how the Montero (short-wheel base)compares to the sport. I've heard some negative stuff on fuel consumption on the sport- plus the ride not being too good as it shares the same wheel base as the L200

I use a diesel one good solid vehicle goes on and on forever.

Comfortability is good compared to an x-trail I've owned (sometimes the petrol one with harder leather seats can be less comfy)

Performance definitely not the best for it's engine size yet due to tried and tested(old) technology can be easily maintained in any local garage.

Does the miles even without you knowing it.

No faults for me in 3 and half years yet.

Regardless of size pretty easy to drive.

Very good offloading capabilities.

It has one loud diesel engine! quite surprising with a newer diesel vehicle!

My Dadz planing to get a Petrol one so he needs to know how the Fuel Consumption is on the Auto Gear, Petrol
