Sometime this information will help to you , if you use Kia Spectra, Hyndai Accent ect... or sometime this may happen to any other models also. I already post this matter 2 yrs ago and got lot of technical ideas but couldnt get exact result.

I had a Kia Spectra car and once i drive long distance (i go Badulla lot of weekends from Kiribathgoda) once i drive more than 100km then suddenly there was a problem the car is not moving fast though i push the Accelarator sometime speed under 40Km/Hr .And if the car stopped for a 15min then drive again can do normal drive at least another 10KM and again the problem started. So below repairs done.

1.Replace Injectors

2.Engine Tune

3.Ignition Coil

4.Checking all the fuel line and cleaning fuel filter and pump

5.Throttle body

And lot of relating repairs done at famous garages and company.

But no improment this only happen only after 100 + KM drive .No one could find the exact answer.

Finally one garage guy at Badulla told me after hearing my story , he had previous experiance all Korean Vehicles fuel pump get problem on after some years specially the inside coil will not able to produce necessary action to function the fuel pump properly when it heatup pump works out of normal funtion. So replaced it with Japanese good one and after that nothing wrong and driven it as before.

Hope if anybody suffer this kind of matter pls check this pump. Normal condition it works but after get heated its not working properly.

No it prevails in newer cars too. I had the same issue in the 2011 cerato. Its due to substandard petrol in sri lanka. My very non-famous roadside mechanic picked up the issue in one go, so it wasnt a hassle.

It seems japanese fuel pumps tolerate substandard petrol better than korean ones.
