Engine Heat Insulator - Mitsubishi L200

I have a Mitsubishi L200 252-xxxx vehicle. K14TJUNSR model. In that there is a old and damaged heat insulator between dashboard side of the engine compartment.

Is there a place to repair it or get a new one?

Upload a few pics please,

Is it the firewall heat insulator,? You can get heat insulation meterial with aluminium lined at hardware shops sold by the meter.

Get some and cut to shape,..

Two words best describe what can be the damage. Engine washing.
or your beloved got caught in the Tsunami

Fitting a replacement , is going to be quite a feat as it is fitted in the factory when the car is assembled. Eg before the brake lines and fuel lines are fitted.`I agree that a heat+sound insulation is needed inorder to have acceptable levels of NVH.

To stop further degradation of the original heat shield, Ask your service station to not wash the engine bay.

I've already written a simple soloution to your prob before, yes,that stays, just hang it in front of the existing broken heat shield behind the engine.n

This has happened before I got the vehicle. Yep, that is the reason! I am also planning to such a fix!
