Im looking for some experts advise on buying a Mitsubishi verada.

Verada is an Australian variant produced by Mitsubishi Motors in Australia. Had larger Engines probably V6. Now out of production since 2005.

Very rich person's choice !.

looking from a practical side Yes, you'll have a loving relationship with fuel stations,.

From an engineering point , The car was a failure from the start , with the Pajero sourced 6G74 3500cc V6 engine with overheating and transmission headaches.

and therefore no longer in production due to bad sales.

Bullsh*t.

Magna/Verada was the last successful car made in Australia by MMAL. Older Magnas are still running in Australia and running quite well. The trouble was Magna was a direct competitor for the homegrown Holden Commodore and Ford Falcon. Toyota Camry was the other competitor for the Magna. Understandably, if you were an average Aussie who has a choice between Commodore, Falcon, Camry and Magna, what will you go for?

The successor for the Magna/Verada was the 308. This was the car that was made out of desperation and that spelled doom for MMAL. MMAL closed down around 2008. I was in Adelaide (not very far from the MMAL plant) till about 2011 and the MMAL plant was rotting away at that time. I guess they may have dismantled the plant by now.

Correction,

The last Magna was named the 380 . Which had the 6G75 3800 v6 Engine . So why is it not made any more?Cos Mitsu Australia couldnt keeep up with the unprecedented demand? :speechless-smiley-004: AND WAS BOUGHT IN SL BY PEOPLE WHO HAD MORE MONEY THAN BRAINS.!

Mitsu isn't the first car plant to close down in recent times after Nissan-Holden tie up. and will be followed by the rest by 2019 :sport-smiley-027:

Some advice you're giving. Might as well ask this guy to buy an Isuzu Gemini while you're at it :sport-smiley-004::sport-smiley-004::sport-smiley-004::sport-smiley-004::sport-smiley-004::sport-smiley-004::sport-smiley-004::sport-smiley-004:
