choke

Well the fact is that  you get choke function in all the gasoline powered cars but you don't get to see it physically in some of them. Choke provides a rich mixture to start your car when the engine is cold. If you are not using the choke to start your car in the morning, either you are living in a zone where even the morning ambient temperature is above 40C or your carburetor is not set for its optimum operation. In modern EFI cars the choke functionality is built into the ECU software where as in a B11 you get the same functionality but operated manually.

1. Some old cars have.

2. When you pull the knob, the other end of the cable connect to Carb will operate a butterfly kind of a flap and close the air intake, which will let more petrol sucks through intake manipol and help to ignite fast at cold start.
